In 2012 Limone Piemonte Ski Museum was established inside the premises of the Civic Library, with the intention of collecting and handing down the great skiing cultural heritage of the town.
The memories displayed tell important stages of this territory: the history of the construction of the first ski lifts, its great champions, as well as the numerous and prestigious competitions held in Limone and their promotion.
The museum is dedicated to Agostino Bottero and was fully renovated in 2021.

Period footage from the “Istituto Luce” projects us into the 1930s Limone. This was a true golden age for the town. Barbara Allemand's video story is divided into chapters and retraces the main stages of the transformation of the Limone area from the beginning of the last century to its current configuration.

Thanks to a collection of black and white images taken from Piero Tosello's archive of period postcards, we can immerse ourselves in the town of the past. Ranging from panoramas and glimpses from its historic centre to its ski slopes, ski lifts and hotels, these photographs lead us into the past, showing us a tourist centre in constant evolution and which has been able to preserve and maintain its charm over time.
